The Inevitable prize of the champions

For every opportunity that presents itself to move to the next (higher) level, there is always an extra and sacrifice. Nobody wants to remain on the same spot for too long a time, we all want to move higher on the ladder of live and get better in live as each day passes by. Craving for better results and achievement in whatever we set out to do but we have to come to terms with the fact that, in surpassing our previous achievements and heights we have to accept the philosophy that says, nothing comes easy. We all want to move a step further and break new grounds, we want to improve on our past records and throw them into the waste basket. The desire to get better is always crying for attention as the second ticks each day (that passes by). We want all around us to see the changes and improvements that have taken place in our lives and that indeed we are getting better. No one wants to remain on the same spot longer than it is necessary else, frustration sets in and the desire to quit begin to receive undeserved attention that had never existed.
No matter how great the desire for a change and get better is within us, we have to realize one basic fact-“there is a prize to pay.” Changes don’t just take place; we attract them in one way or the other (either through our actions or decisions). The actions and decisions we take and make will either work for or against us. It is not just the desire that bring about improvement in live but the decisions and the sacrifices we make also play vital roles.
What is the prize to pay? As you read further you will begin to see this so called prize(s) of greatness. This is a question we all should ask ourselves and give undiluted answers that must be written down somewhere we can refer to them from time to time so that we remain on track. In other words, our answers will say a lot about how far we go in live in achieving our desired goal.
There is no one who today has one success story to share that has not had a moment of challenge(s), these icons of success have all had their period and time in the wilderness; a time when nothing was working and every green light suddenly goes off and all that illuminates is the red light, discouragement begin to show it significance. All friends and loved ones are nowhere to be found, the called our special and bosom suddenly are nowhere. Regardless of their disappointment they forge ahead and attain the height they had always wanted to right from time. Realizing the fact that champions are made through tough times. These are people who have not allowed experiences (unpleasant) and unfriendly periods of live have the better of them… they are the champions and captains of various fields.
However, there are those who have been victimized by their challenges and trying periods. Surely, the desire to throw in the towel will come, but it takes the spirit of a champion to continue with the journey to the top. Many people call it quit for various reasons: some remain on the same spot while some go from bad to worse....
