Celebrating Motherhood

When no-one was willing, you took the nine month assignment
When the call was made and all drew back
You stepped forward like a lion
Not minding the consequences of your decision.

You opened the door and granted my entry into the world
Thanks to you mother.
The molder of my tender heart and the one who delivered me from ignorance.

When the four-wheeled would have triumphed over me
Your arms made the difference
Thank you mother...
Now I go all the way back to pick these words to show my appreciation
Though not enough but please accept this and more to come;
 Iya ni wura iyebiye
Ti a kole f'owo ra
O loyun mi f'osu mesan
O pon mi f'odun meta

Iya ni wura iyebiye ti a kole fowo ra...
Happy MOTHERS' Day

D'Kingz Pen Drips for you...

A TRUE MOTHER

Carried away by the desire to give me a life
You abandoned yours
And left your father's house for another man's
All for the picture of me and my siblings to come alive.

You embraced a strange community 'cos of your FRUITS Always on stand to cover my flaws
Preventing me from the harms that would have terminated my sojourn.
Oh, what a Sweet mother!

When my legs were tender and kneels not strong enough to pace through my daily journey
Your back made the difference for me
Like a landlord, I claimed the rent.

A place of comfort in the midst of thorns
A refuge and a safe place in danger
My favorite place to answer nature's call.

From your breast my hunger was silenced
Your breasts daily assassinated my hunger
Oh, can't stop relishing those days
Can't stop wanting more of the purest milk I've ever tasted.

Thanks to the Almighty
The One who fore-knew my desires
And to them he granted the BEST provision
I'll Cherish you till eternity.

You're the best one could ever wish for
Thanks, my gateway to earth
The one who granted my work-permit
I'll ALWAYS LOVE you Mum..
