The ripple effect of polygamy is far
more than the initiator can envisage. In fact the consequence spans for
generations. Consequently, innocent children suffer for what they had no idea
about how it all started.
A statement from Robert Kiyosaki,
Rich Dad Poor Dad (paraphrased) says, never make decisions based on emotions
instead, pause and think before you act. If most of our grandparents who
practiced polygamy had thought about the future and consequences of their
action, I am sure they wouldn’t have embraced it.
“Too much money” should never be
an excuse for embracing polygamy. There are better things around to do with
money than amass women as if they’re property. Naturally, no human will be
comfortable seeing someone who wants to take his or her place and would be
happy about it. Even a first team player will always pray to be fit for every
match, while the player on the bench prays that something works in his favor…laughs-
I didn’t say anything ooo.
The world has changed and things
are not the way they use to be. The need to address things differently is very
important.
The younger generation needs to
look into the future using the mistakes of the elders as guide to make better decisions.
Experience is the best teacher but you don’t have to learn from your own
experience when there’s a better way to. I am sure most of our four-fathers who
“acquired” wives did so because they danced to the beat of their emotion.
Before
you decide, think. Before you act, think…never stop using your brain, it is one
the most powerful resources you’ve got. –Rich Dad Poor Dad
The elders’ fall should be a
lesson to the younger generation. Don’t be carried away by laugher because an
elder has fallen, but think and learn from the elders’ fall else you fall for
the same thing and your fall most likely will be more disastrous. See you at
the Top!!!
