FINDING HEALING AFTER A HEARTBREAK?

One of the greatest enemies of a person’s glorious destiny is unforgiveness, it has the capacity to breakdown a man or woman, and hinder him or her from reaching his or her peak in life. Any human that finds it difficult to forgive will most likely live most of their lives in pain and hurt. The bitter truth is that it is almost impossible, in fact, it is very unlikely for a man or woman to live his or her life without being offended or offending another person. The fact that we are human beings means we are not perfect hence, we are bound to hurt another person’s feelings.

The relationship between opposite sex is not an exception. Heartbreak is not a new thing anymore, there are countless number of people whose hearts have been broken countless number of times. In fact, some hearts have been broken beyond repair.  Some people never recover from heartbreak, while some do recover; there are those who claim to recover but they really never do, rather, they come out worse, looking for who to “devour”.

Anything that does not kill you only gives you an opportunity to defeat it. It is an indication that you’ve got a victory to claim. Never let a man who does not know your worth make you settle for less. God has invested so much inside of you; you are the apple of God’s eyes. Who dares touch the eyes of God? Don’t settle for less!

My dear, if your heart has been broken by any guy, it simply means he’s not supposed to be a part of your (glorious) future. However, that does not mean you should not forgive. Forgiveness is an attribute of champions, and any mature human should have some good measure of it. The truth is, people will often cross our paths, but we have to forgive and move on with life. Life is too short to be living in unforgiveness.

I won’t  give you steps or things to do so that you’d be able to recover from heartbreak… but one thing I know for sure is, “heartbreak is not life-break” it is not the end of the world. What you make out of it is a matter of choice. Life continues, instead of sitting and wallowing in self-pity, get involved in well-meaning activities (serve God and humanity), strive to become a better person. Also, get yourself involved in things that you are passionate about; things that you delight doing, and things that make you happy. For me, one of the best write-ups I have ever done was when I was in tears, I look back today, and thank God ‘cos that time made me stronger and more mature emotionally. When you let go, you free your life from another person’s control. My dear friend, Jesus was betrayed by one of His disciples yet He forgave, He was crucified yet, He forgave…forgive, and move on with your life. God bless you.

Learning at the Elders’ Feet -4

The ripple effect of polygamy is far more than the initiator can envisage. In fact the consequence spans for generations. Consequently, innocent children suffer for what they had no idea about how it all started.

A statement from Robert Kiyosaki, Rich Dad Poor Dad (paraphrased) says, never make decisions based on emotions instead, pause and think before you act. If most of our grandparents who practiced polygamy had thought about the future and consequences of their action, I am sure they wouldn’t have embraced it.

“Too much money” should never be an excuse for embracing polygamy. There are better things around to do with money than amass women as if they’re property. Naturally, no human will be comfortable seeing someone who wants to take his or her place and would be happy about it. Even a first team player will always pray to be fit for every match, while the player on the bench prays that something works in his favor…laughs- I didn’t say anything ooo.

The world has changed and things are not the way they use to be. The need to address things differently is very important.

The younger generation needs to look into the future using the mistakes of the elders as guide to make better decisions. Experience is the best teacher but you don’t have to learn from your own experience when there’s a better way to. I am sure most of our four-fathers who “acquired” wives did so because they danced to the beat of their emotion.

Before you decide, think. Before you act, think…never stop using your brain, it is one the most powerful resources you’ve got. –Rich Dad Poor Dad

The elders’ fall should be a lesson to the younger generation. Don’t be carried away by laugher because an elder has fallen, but think and learn from the elders’ fall else you fall for the same thing and your fall most likely will be more disastrous. See you at the Top!!!

Don’t make the same Mistake!

It’s a Sunday morning, after a few worship songs, my thought flipped back to some of the activities that happened during the week. One of the most significant if not the most significant was that which occurred on Wednesday.

Setting my eyes on a 16 year old cousin of mine- for the first time ever.

I thought about many things at the same time as different questions kept seeking for answers. Out of all these, the question which got my attention is, “why did it take this long”?

One area of your life you must not joke with is your relationship/marital-the consequences are more than you can predict or handle. Most of our grandparents and great-grand parents were polygamist and this has caused a lot of problems for their descendants many of which are unresolved. For some people, that is the genesis of most of their problems and challenges- unnecessary/unhealthy rivalry, bitterness, strife etc

I thought for a moment and was forced to voice out some of my thoughts. What would have been the story if we had capitalized on the advantage of “numbers”? Perhaps some of the challenges we are facing now would have been easily averted and things would have been easier for many people.
The lessons I learnt include:

1.      Your decision will not only affect you.
2.      The consequence of your actions outweighs your action itself.
3.      Population/number does not equal advantage except you do something.
4.      Don’t create more problems than you can solve
5.      Add yours…thanks
